Affiliate Marketing Updates, ManyChat & Other Creator News
Plus, the details on our next creator meet up!
Hey friends! Here’s what you need to know in the world of content creation & blogging.
New Affiliate Opportunities
Amazon recently updated its policy to allow creators to send affiliate links in direct messages and emails. This is huge. You can now send your followers a direct link to a product instead of having to link to your storefront. YAY!
ManyChat Makes Messaging Easier
Speaking of messaging your followers, I’ve been loving ManyChat. It makes it easy to set up automation to send more information to your followers. (As a food blogger, I have people comment on a post, which triggers an automated DM with the recipe in their inbox.) I can see tons of potential for this now that we’re allowed to use Amazon affiliate links in DMs! I’ve been using ManyChat for about a year now and I love it! It’s been really helpful for engagement. You can check out ManyChat here. (That’s my affiliate link!)
Next Richmond Meet Up
Thank you to everyone who came to our June Meet Up! (And a special thanks to Sea Suite Cruises for hosting us!) Our next meet up will be at the Tobacco Company in August but we’re still working on nailing down the date!
If you want to plan a meet up in your area, let me know! Shoot me an email at virginiabloggers@gmail.com.
Quick Tip: Fix Broken Links
If you’ve been blogging for a while, you probably have a few broken links on your site. There is a free plugin called Broken Link Checker that can make checking links quick & easy. You can easily bulk-remove any broken links you don’t need anymore. This tool can also help you find places where you might have accidentally linked to the wrong URL. It’s an easy fix that can make your site better for users and more optimized for Google!
